Economic calendar

An economic calendar is a list of official releases: the date, the country, the event, the importance, and the previous, forecast and actual figures. WiT Markets will show that list only from a sourced feed. This page is the interface and the empty state.

How the calculation works

The adapter `getEconomicEvents` returns an empty list until a provider is configured. Filters for date, country and importance are wired to that list, so a future feed does not require a new page. Forecasts, where a feed supplies them, are consensus descriptions, not WiT Markets predictions.

Assumptions

  • An empty calendar means no feed, not a quiet week.
  • Importance labels will follow the vendor’s scale and will be explained when a vendor exists.
  • Actual figures must come from the source, not from a news headline typed by hand.

A worked example

There is no sample row. A sample row would be a fake event. The empty state is the worked example of the policy.

Limitations

You cannot use this page to prepare for a specific release until a feed is connected. Official statistics offices and central banks remain the primary sources. An empty week in the interface is a missing feed, not a claim that no statistics are due.

Change one input at a time if a result looks surprising. The arithmetic is only as careful as the numbers you type, and it does not know your broker’s contract size.

No economic events are loaded. WiT Markets does not invent a calendar when a sourced feed is not connected. Filters are ready for a dated feed of official releases.
