Market screener

A screener is only as honest as its universe. WiT Markets has built the filters — asset class, market, country, sector, size, price move, valuation, dividend yield and volatility — and has not filled them with made-up securities.

How the calculation works

The data adapter returns no rows until a licensed universe is connected. Filters are ready for that universe. A security will need an identifier, a source and a timestamp before it can appear. Sort options will operate on those fields, not on an editorial score.

Assumptions

  • No row is better than a row we cannot source.
  • Valuation fields mean whatever the vendor’s definition says, and that definition will be shown.
  • A screener is not a recommendation list.

A worked example

Searching for high-yield equities will show nothing today. It will not show a fictional company with a convenient yield.

Limitations

You cannot screen live markets here yet. Use a broker or data vendor you already have access to, and treat this page as the shell those data will land in. Filters without rows are intentional. They are not a broken query.

Change one input at a time if a result looks surprising. The arithmetic is only as careful as the numbers you type, and it does not know your broker’s contract size.

No securities are loaded. A screener result would be a factual claim about a security, so this screen stays empty until a sourced universe is connected.
